Faerie Macbeth - Gallery - Lakeside Park

Faerie Macbeth

Drawn as an attempt to capture the horror of having murdered someone, thereby destroying innocence... herself....

The clothes look a little funky because they were an afterthought. Can't have everything.

The quote is "What, will these hands ne'er be clean?" from Macbeth V.i, spoken by the Lady Macbeth. Of the Shakespearean plays I've read, I like Macbeth the best. Other choices were Julius Caesar and Romeo and Juliet... bleh.

[Faerie with shriveling wings staring at her bloody hands]
