Caged - Poetry - Lakeside Park

Caged

caged
behind the bars
i've put there
myself, one by one
in the darkness
letting the world
go to hell alone

caged
behind the bars
she's let me
create, one by one
with our love
letting the world
go to hell alone

caged

Friday and Saturday I spent talking to Jewel instead of working on my physics project that we were supposed to be working on all semester. Sunday I spent climbing rocks for a different class.

It is not the end of the world... but I was suicidal over the prospect of not getting a diploma (associate's degree) on my way out of community college. And nobody noticed.
