Time Pressed - Poetry - Lakeside Park

The block-quoted sections are taken from "Between the Wheels" by Rush.

Time Pressed

It slips between your hands
Like water
This living in real time
A dizzying lifetime
Reeling by on celluloid

the fog danced at dawn above the snow
the gray clouds drifting so slow
above sumac brushed with marshmallow
but I couldn't stop, I had to go

But the wheels of time
Just pass you by...

lakewood, busti, warren, kane,
johnsonburg, everywhere the fog did reign
and passing the beauty brought pain
but I could not stop, I had to go

Wheels can take you around
Wheels can cut you down

I never knew they could do both at once
