Art was always something I knew I wanted to do as a child. I was very active when it came to the arts, and never paid much attention to those who said I wasn't any good or wouldn't go anyway with it. Over time, my love of art drifted away slowly, but still stayed with me. Then, it was something I wanted to do, but didn't have the talent or the courage to do, so I admired it at a distance and never tried it for myself.

About two years ago, I found my way to Elfwood for the first time (http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/elfwood.html). There I saw all the amateur artists and all their beautiful artwork. "These aren't professionals?" I asked myself, trying not to drool over their work. "I could probably do something like this." I thought after I got over the shock. And that's where I began, trying to improve myself and my art so I could become part of the elfwood community too. I didn't have much talent then, but I thought it was good. Not only that, but my ideas were very creative too, and that kept me going.

After three months, I sent an application into Elfwood for my own gallery. I waited almost a month before I got a reply back, telling me I now had a new art gallery. I was elated, and began drawing like crazy, because now I had somewhere to put it all where others could see and comment on it. And I found out that, with every new picture I drawed, I got better and learned more. I spent hours looking up and reading about anatomy and the way fabric moves and muscles work. It helped a little reading about it, but I found out that by actually drawing and looking at the actual thing, I would learn more.

That was almost two years ago now. My art half calmed down a lot, and I'm no longer obsessed with it like I was, but I still love it and fight with it. I've also gottenmuch, much better, and have learned many things.
