So, you want to be an artist too? Or maybe you already are, but don't think you're all that good? Well, there are a lot of things I can tell you, but I can't tell you how to become better. That's completely up to you. But don't let that get you down. The number one reason why people never make it too far when trying to draw better is they give up trying. They try to do a few things, and it is seen as a "fairlure" when they can't make it look exactly like they want. The truth is, you aren't a failure. You can't always make things perfec.t No one can, really. What's important is that you really tried, really gave your all. It's ok if it's not perfect, because it's beautiful anyway. Hey, I didn't start out drawing realistic dragons and people one day, knowing exactly what I was doing. No artist does, really. I was bad too, at leasy I thought I was. I was having so much trouble with myself because everything I drew just looked wrong and bad, and I could never quite get it to look the way I wanted it. But one day, I just stopped worrying about what others would think, and stopped caring if it wasn't perfect. If you look closely, you'll see you get better with every picture you draw. What does that mean? Yeah, you guessed it. Practice makes perfect, or at lease close to it. So that's my advice to you. Draw. Just sit down and draw whatever comes to your mind. Don't stop to think about it, or worry that it will come out bad, because it will if you do. Just touch the pencil to the paper and draw! Let the lines flow out of you like magic, and watch all the beautiful art form before your eyes. You are unique and special, no matter what anyone says. And so is your art. If you're still worried that your art isn't very good, then go ahead and send me a few of your pictures (click the dragon below). I'll tell you what I think, tell you what I see as good, and some things that need some work on. Most important, I'll give you a chance to tell me how you feel. Drawing is a way to express yourself through what you put down on paper or canvas or on a computer screen. Tell me how it makes you feel. I'm always here to lean on, because I know it hurts when you think you've failed. But remember, you'll never get anywhere if you never try. ![]() How I started with art | Art commissions and requests | Webpage commissions and requests | Your art Back |
