Winter - Poetry - Lakeside Park

Frosty Forest from Secret of Mana (6.43 KB)

Winter

The silence is deafening
The screaming green quieted
Captured beneath the crystalline gleam
Imprisoned in the frosted tombs of ice
In the dungeon of an empire
That only lives
Until the dawn of seasons

I've noticed my poetry is beginning to follow the woods. This weekend I was out there again, this time in the snow. It was absolutely silent. No birds. No flies. No bees. No leaves to be rustled by the wind. Only silence.
