A dark pit
A pool of hatred
A temper's fuel
A suffocating void
Hides in my heart
I want
To accept it
To love it
To destroy it
In dazzling light
But I am afraid
Terrified
That by loving it
I will destroy
Not it but me
So I go on
Dragon keeping watch
Cat ready to fight
Unicorn ready to flee
Should the rebellion come
I wrote this poem because the Park was a lie. I am not the Holy One whose soul harbors no darkness. I am not an angel, completely subservient to God and singing "Alleluia" over and over for eternity. I have a dark side. And not showing it in the Park was beginning to bug me.
