Woods

Version 1.1

A vast ocean
of shining green power
that cannot be tapped for evil		 A deep reserve
of flowing white power
that cannot be drawn on for good		 A giant vault
of purified power
that cannot be taken by anyone

Trees
Bushes
Vines
Moss
Grass
Weeds
Saplings

All filled with a vast power
A power held by a godlike force that will only give
If anyone tries to take, tries to steal away the dreams
The fountain will dry faster than a desert rain
Leaving only bitter angst and a wild-eyed stare
Until it is buried under a falling tree
But if anyone just lives with the woods in their heart
The god will give a generous part
Happiness
Energy
And dreams

This poem wrote itself.  All I had in mind when I began was the idea of an ocean of green-white power that nobody could take from, but would give to all who received it.  Then I began typing..... and this is what ended up here.
