Paradise - Poetry - Lakeside Park

"Where I Belong" from Final Fantasy VIII (5.83 KB)

Paradise

Trees reach for the light
Straining with silent might
Twisting through any angle
Creating a complicated tangle
Held together by ivy and grapevine
Beauty made by a hand divine
Yet nobody knows it's here
Every day they pass so near
Paradise still waits to be discovered
By those who don't see it's uncovered

I was walking around the woods in summer camp one day, and I noticed that it's beautiful out there.  Then I thought of the hundreds of people that go to camp each year, and wondered just how many never really realize how peaceful the woods are.
